In June 2007 I was called to be the associate pastor here at Peace. One of the primary reasons Peace called me – a twenty-seven year old man straight out of the seminary – was so that I could minister to individuals around the same age who share similar life experiences. The period of life when one transitions from high school, to college, to a career, to getting married and having a family can be stressful to say the least. And let’s face it, the world we have grown up in views life much differently than the world of our parents and grandparents did. It is my hope and prayer that I will be able to effectively share the love of Jesus with people in the midst of these life and world changes. |

Hello! My name is Andrew Farhat, 27 years old, born and raised in Seattle, WA. I am married to Daisy and have one daughter, Miriam, who is a year old. I am currently doing an internship here at Peace Lutheran Church. At Peace, I teach 2 Adult Bible studies, Confirmation, a Creeds class on Sundays, and will teach our Connections class this summer. I am very excited about teaching the Word of God. However, at the same time I am humbled because of the great responsibility it is and will be in the future as a pastor. While I love teaching in smaller groups, I really enjoy the opportunity to preach on Sundays. The time I have spent in the pulpit this year has been invaluable to my future calling. While I am not working, I enjoy snowboarding and spending time with my family. |

Ever since graduating from Concordia University – Nebraska in 1982, I have been “hanging” with teenagers and pre-teens for the past 18 years here at Peace. One thing that brings the most joy in ministry to me is to see how vibrant, exciting, and capable young Christians can be in their spiritual life! They ask good questions, serve with excitement, and serve as gifted leaders! Both the present and the future look bright!
I love to get outdoors to do gardening, bike riding, camping, fishing, and hunting. Most of all, I take pleasure in just about anything that allows time with my wife, Lisa, and my children, Jenna, Christa, and David. And that doesn’t include time I treasure with friends! People are my passion! |

As Director of Child and Family Ministry at Peace, my passion is seeing the faith passed on from generation to generation. I love seeking opportunities to support the nurturing role of parents in their efforts to model the faith to their children. I am a graduate of Concordia, St. Paul, with a degree in Organizational Management, Education, and certification as Director of Christian Education in the LC-MS. Prior to accepting my call to Peace Lutheran, I served at St. Matthew Lutheran in Columbia Heights, MN. |

I have been serving our Lord as Christian Outreach Coordinator of Peace Lutheran Church since 2002. I am responsible for planning and administering the many Outreach Ministries at Peace. I work with the boards of Christian Outreach, Parish Fellowship and Public Relations to make Peace a welcoming place for our visitors and to make Christ known in our community. I am also a member of the Missions Committee, Treasurer of the Social Ministry Committee and Secretary to the board of Metro-Denver Lutherans for Life. |

I, my husband Steve, and my three sons have been blessed being members of Peace since 1994. When the opportunity came to work as the Business Manager in 2000, it was truly a blessing for me to share my talents and help fill that need. I work with staff and leadership with budget issues, bill paying, financial reporting, payroll issues, and maintaining vendor relationships concerning equipment and property issues. I enjoy regular Bible study, and over the past three years have enjoyed involvement with the Bad Girls of the Bible series small group here at Peace. |

I have been a member of Peace since 1980 and have served in a variety of volunteer positions over the years. I have been part-time staff since 1994. In 2005, I moved into the full-time administrative assistant position. I try to keep things running as smoothly as possible as I work with multiple staff members. In my off-time, I enjoy watching movies, scrapbooking, working around the house, and spending time with family and friends. My Life Verse - which has served me well in many situations - is Psalm 27:1. "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" |

I have been a part-time Secretary at Peace for over 3 ½ years I enjoy greeting new people, answering the phones & working on the monthly newsletter. My husband, Skip and I have been married for twenty-eight years and love our two children, Claudia and Dean. I love working in a church environment where I am free to pray and speak about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My favorite verse is Galatians 5:22 & 23: "But the fruit of the the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." |
